A charity dinner “Compassion in Action” will be held on 24
May 2009, Sunday, 7.00 p.m. at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre
(1&2).
The
purpose of the Dinner is to raise funds to support the exemplary work
undertaken by Venerable Sanghasena from the Mahabodhi International
Meditation Centre (MIMC), Ladakh who has worked tirelessly in
transforming an arid land into a virtual oasis outside Leh, the
capital of Ladakh. The venerable is involved in some of the following
projects:
- Building schools for the underprivileged children
- Setting up homes for the aged and visually impaired
- Establishing a hospital for the sick
- Establishing a monastery and a nunnery for training monks and
nuns
- Ensuring adequate meditation facilities for international
practitioners You can be a part of this “Compassion in Action”
and help to transform the lives in the Himalayas by:
- Purchasing a few tickets/tables for your loved ones, relatives
and friends. Tickets are priced at RM500, RM300 and RM200,
or
- Making some contribution if you are unable to attend the dinner.
