Vocational Training Program The vocational training program at Mahabodhi with emphasis on spirituality is designed to enable students to convert their talent and passion into a marketable skill.  Its focus is on developing skills that are indigenous to ancient Ladakhi traditions.  Thanka painting, wood-carving and pottery are taught by teachers well-versed in traditional methods and modern adaptations. The Mahabodhi Music Center will turn traditional music and chanting into marketable products.  This is made possible under the able leadership and commitment of Morup Namgayal, an artist decorated with the highest all India Padmashri award for his contribution to Ladakh as a music composer, playwriter and radio personality.
